CAMPUS TRADITIONS

RAMS UP!

To make the 'Rams Up!' hand sign, start with your hand in the 'rock on' position (index and pinky fingers up, middle and ring fingers clasped under your thumb).  Then, just curl your index and pinky fingers downward slightly and yell: RAMS UP!

THE RAM

Did you know we used to keep a live ram on campus?

Some even say the ashes of the original Willie were placed inside the horns of the ram statue outside of Brown-Lupton. During midterms and final exams, you'll often see students rubbing the horn for good luck!

  STAMPEDE WEEK

Stampede Week occurs at the beginning of every fall semester. It's purpose is to welcome students back with a full week of fun events. It's a great opportunity to get involved and meet other Rams!

COIN TOSS

The coin toss is a tradition for all incoming students. You'll hear an inspirational speech from a fellow Ram encouraging you to take advantage of the next few years as a student here. Then, you'll throw the coin in the fountain and take on this new chapter feeling inspired.

Have a great idea for a presentation that you want to share with students, faculty, and staff? Propose your presentation idea, get it approved, and rock your presentation!

FIGHT SONG

Wesleyan Rams are bold

For the flames we dearly hold

Feverently we wave the blue and gold

Our flames are blazing

In the shining glory

Wesleyan Rams are we

For TW we'll always be

With all our might

We will FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT

Here and now

And we'll steal the victory!

ALMA MATER

Hail to the, dear Texas Wesleyan

From the heart I give my praise

In the paths of high endeavor

Fame and fortune crown your days

Streaming forth a line of splendor

Stalwart sons and daughters fair

Living testimony render

To the worthy name you bear
